Global Pet Delivery Agency
Contact: William Rock / William More tricks hopeful pet owners

Our family moved to Romania as missionaries 5 years ago;one thing we had to leave behind was our sweet Pomeranian that we had had for years. We adopted a cat from Romanian neighbor, but she died just a few days ago. I immediately began looking online for another puppy in Romania. Most of the prices were much more than I could afford, but then I found an add that showed a beautiful Pomeranian puppy, for a 150 euros. I contacted the man, William Rock, and he e-mailed me, saying that he and his wife were too busy to take care of the dog. He said they had brought her from London, but that she was AKA registered. The grammar and spelling of his e-mails was bad, but I thought he might be an elderly gentleman who struggled with computers.

I chatted with him on Yahoo messenger and he told me that he would have the puppy shipped to me and I would only have to pay 50 euros for shipping and 40 to cover his costs. He said he had registered the puppy with an agency and that the agency would contact me with further details. Up to this point I was not really suspicious, because he assured me that I would not have to pay anything until the puppy was delivered. An e-mail came from the "agency"; the spelling and grammar were atrocious, the information was contradictory, and the payment instructions were ridiculous. I was to go to Western Union and deposit the amount in the company account BEFORE the puppy was shipped. That was exactly opposite everything I had agreed on.

What really made me suspicious was the fact that the company's website had EXPIRED. At that point, I googled "Global Pet Delivery Agency". The usacomplaints.com website was the first item in the list of results! I read several reports and simply changing a few names would make any of them describe my experience. I e-mailed Mr. Rock and refused to send anything at all to this company, but offered to drive to his home, pick up the dog, and pay him in person. I have yet to receive any answer. Thank God someone else complained about this scam! I nearly fell for it because I really wanted the puppy, but all those reports saved me from making the mistake of sending any money. I haven't lost any money, but we went through losing another animal because we were truly excited.

While I was writing this report, Mr. Rock contacted me via messenger. I informed him that I WOULD NOT continue any transaction with the company. He insisted the company was not fraudulent, and reluctantly agreed to set up a time for me to visit.interestingly, he had said his job kept him too busy to take care of the puppy, but he was able to chat online for more than half an hour on Monday at 1:00 in the afternoon. He has given me a phone number and an address, so I'll have to see what happens with that, but this "company" is definitely fishy
