Contractors should be prepared to wait 50 to 90 days plus to get your bills paid. This company will tell you they pay in 30 days but that is just wishful thinking or an out wright lie. You will get excuse after excuse as to why your money is delayed, held up, must be resubmitted, is waiting to be entered into system, we need to some other contractor before we can pay you, (they don't tell you that when they ask you to do the work)., it took you too long to repair the defect, we think the bill is too high, and on and on. You get the picture. Then they will send you partial payment. It then starts all over trying to get the rest of your money.
Homeowners: If you have read the above is it any wonder why your new home has water intrusion, mold, air leaks, poor heating, drafty windows, scratched wood floors, dripping faucets, chipped kitchen cabinets, cracked floor tiles. Ceilings and walls missing insulation. Bowed walls, wavvyyy drywall, and more. Leaking shower stalls, doors and tile resulting in wet ceilings below on the first floor. Have an independent home inspector check everything real close, twice. K. Hov won't like it but you really need to have the home checked out prior to closing to protect your investment and mental health. If K. Hov won't let the inspector check the house that should be your warning to run away as fast as you can. {You test drive and inspect a car before you buy don't you, and that costs nothing compared to your home.} Because after you close the real headache begins. Cheap is the name of the game with Hov. From the original construction materials to repairs the least expensive materials will be used by the cheapest labor they can find regardless of ability. Always remember that your home was built entirely by the lowest bidder using the cheapest materials they can supply.
The contractors don't care about quality (they probably can't spell the word) just nail it together, solder it, glue it, paint it and get out. They can't spend the proper time to do quality work because K. Hov doesn't want to pay for that. Is that why many don't speak English, if they can't speak the language, what makes you think they can read blueprints or understand the building codes, after all your home is not an erector set or is it??? You have been warned!!
