I had purchased a used set of wheels and tires. I took them over to NTB to reassure me that the tires were safe. The balancing went GREAT! I then walked to go have dinner while they installed and put my other set into the car. As I'm being seated they called me up asking me if there is a "special" way to start up my car. Seeing how its a manual I laughed and said, "Yeah, push in the clutch and turn the key." They then said that they tried that and heard a loud 'pop' and that fluid were leaking under the car. I quickly ran over to see that it was my slave cylinder that went. I didn't think much of it since it was a high mileage car and it was routine maintenance.
The gentleman was nice and let me keep the car over night at their place while I got my trailer. The shop then said they would take care of the car when I brought it back. Free install, Free Alignment.
I got the car fixed and brought it back to get the alignment and install once again. I was already charged once so I dropped the keys off and told them what I needed done.
Again, I walked away to a local Pepboys to get soap, wax, and a few other car supplies. I come back and notice my car was on the lift but without the new wheels on. They told me another story that they heard another 'pop' and fluid pouring out. They insisted it wasn't their fault. I told them again I wasn't paying anything. I did laugh at their expense saying "Atleast you make it to the lift this time."
After having my car worked on twice, and having a bill over $800 in just labor. I will never go back there, and have told countless people about their horrible service. They never took responsibility for any of it.
