I recently rented my home to Section 8 tenants.in a period of 1 year and 10 months they did over $3,000 worth of damage to the home, did not pay the rent, and got away with it. I repeatedly reported them to Section 8 first to my local office and then to HUD in Washington. They gave me no sympathy and no help. They said all I could do is evict them which I did. I went to court to sue for damages and I got NOTHING. They had six children that put things in the toilet, caused major plumbing problems, punched holes and colored on the walls. She was also very dirty. I reported the unsanitary conditions and all the damage, sent photos, all I got was a runaround. What's so ironic, is that Section 8 recommended these people as being good tenants. Don't believe Section 8, beware!!!
