Portugal Mortgage Finder
Portugalmortgagefinder.com rip off scam mortgage fraud Algarve

This company caused me to loose 45,000 euros because they failed to deliver what they promised. I spoke to Justin Whitelock who was supposed to be senior within the company. I told him in needed a mortgage and that i needed it within 10 weeks. He told me to send over my documents to Portugal and that there wouldnt be a problem.

They confirmed they recieved my documents, but after not hearing anything for 3 weeks I chased them up. Justin wouldnt speak with me but some woman told me they had lost my documents and that if I wanted there help that i would have to re send my documents. After much effort, I sent my documents again... I was then told that it would cost 1000 euros (bank fees) to proceed. I sent the 1000 euros (stupid me) and was told I would hear back from them within 10 days. After another 2 weeks went by, I was very nervous and bombarded them with phone calls. I was then told because Justin was on holidays my application had not been submitted.

I then called my lawyer to ask her to speak to the developer of our property to ask for a delay in the closing of our property due to the problems I was having with portugal mortgage finder (www.portugalmortgagefinder.com). They responded by telling our lawyer they would not be able to give us an extension and they advised us to use another company as they had no confidence in whitelock of the company he worked for.

I told Justin this and he promised that everything would be organized in time and that he had a good relationship with the developer. A long story short, he then told us our mortgage was rejected because the bank he applied too did not like the development we purchased in (9 weeks after he first told us we would not have a problem). Good news though... He had another bank that would do our mortgage but it would cost another 1000 euros. Out of desperation we paid the money (shame on us) and hoped for the best. 2 horrible weeks later he called to tell us that the second bank didnt like our property either and that it was not his fault that we bought the wrong property.

Finally we took the developers advice and contacted someone else who got us an approval within 3 days. Despite pleading with the developer to give us an extension and explaining we were almost ready to complete, the developer informed us he was cancelling our contract and keeping our deposit.

We are now taking legal action against the developer and Portugal Mortgage Finder (www.portugalmortgagefinder.com).

Moral of the story, dont us this company...
