This company will not accept a return of a product w/o a restocking fee and without me paying the return shipping, even though I DID NOT order the product. I was recovering from major surgery and my 10 yr old daughter saw an offer to get some spa products for $1. She used my credit card, as a 10 year old worried about her mom might do, and got this for me to help me feel better. Months later packages started to arrive but they were in HER NAME and I was still recovering so I did not jump on it right away. Finally in December the 3nd package arrived with her name (first one was for $1 months ago apparently), and the 2nd one was during my recovery while I was still out of work and under heavy medication. So I called when the 3rd arrived and I was much better and coherent. I explained the problem and did they care? NO WAY.
Did they allow me to return something I had no knowledge of, did not order and did not use. Of course not. This company is so predatory they need to make a buck NO MATTER WHAT. Of course they would let me pay for the return shipping and CHARGE ME A RESTOCKING FEE (what, for this box of junk)!!! In the one reply from a company rep they said they get THOUSANDS of returns daily. Why do you think that is? Because they send stuff to people that no one wants, and no one ordered. They are trying to trick people like me into paying for stuff they don't want, need or ordered. It is like preying on the unsuspecting... The worst kind of theft and usury. They defer to their "Terms and Conditions".
Do you think my 10 yr old read that or would even understand all that? And yet because it was MY credit card they still hold me accountable. One of their representatives called me after the first order was placed and I told them that a 10yr old used my card. They apologized and told me it would be taken care of. Now when I filed my BBB dispute, they claim that this representative would have given me a phone number to call and cancel if there was a problem. Total lie. That's why when the first package came I thought it was sent before the call. The next one I thought was just an error on their part. So then when I recover and start digging deeper I find I've paid almost $100 for some crap that is barely worth $10. What a scam!!! It pays for itself when people return the item and pay that restocking fee.
Visa/MC and other credit card companies as well as the FTC are cracking down on this time of predatory activity. My hope is that THIS COMPANY is the next to be investigated. I've already sent my complaint to them and as long as their continue to be ways to complain and ask for my money back, I will continue to say what's on my mind. I strongly encourage anyone to stay away from "trial offers"... I personally did not involve myself in this but they have made it abundantly clear how difficult and heartless they are when dealing with real life situations. It's all about the all mighty buck and the rest of us be damned. So the little company rep who replied to the other dispute, give me your name and number so I too can return this product and get a refund. Otherwise this will just keep going and going...
