Mr. And Mrs. Tom and Linda Randall have spent the last few years conning makeup artists and beauty industry businesses into advertising with them in a book they claimed would be published in 2009 under the name "Makeup Artists: Who's Who in the Glamour Industry." As you may have read in several other consumer complaintss, the book was never published and their little empire came crumbling down as soon as they announced the cancellation of their huge Vegas launch party in October. Since then, the couple has kept so quiet you would think they never existed.
Plenty of my colleagues in the industry and I had purchased airfare and hotel stays for this big launch party, which ultimately went to complete waste. The couple insisted it would reimburse us all for our expenses. But, to no surprise, we never saw any reimbursements. Not only that, but we gave up trying to get a hold of either Tom or Linda Randall, who have essentially disappeared off the planet as far as we can tell. No phone calls or emails are ever returned and we have stopped even trying wasting our time with such useless people.
While I initially had no plan to join the bandwagon of makeup artists who filed consumer complaintss this past fall, I felt the need to do so now when I came across new press releases and blogs from the one and only Tom and Linda Randall who have apparently come up with a new scheme to scam more people! Shocking!!!
The new concept is "Glamour Trunk Shows" with some mention of a "Pure Beauty Foundation." Guess what, folks!!! They don't exist! There is no charity called Pure Beauty Foundation according to the IRS and these Glamour Trunk Shows are yet another scheme to make money off of innocent small businesses interested in growing their market share in skin care and beauty.
I have no interest or desire in seeking any sort of revenge here and merely hope that anyone who decided to involve themselves in this new business endeavor just months after the last failed one by the same company - Bentley Global LLC - will think twice about sending their products, marketing materials, and money to this company, which is nothing short of a S-C-A-M by people who claim to be experts in glamour. Too bad no one has ever heard of them!
