I have similar complaints about Interactions Dating here in Michigan. I learned from this experience never to sign an agreement that doesn't allow for refunds. Some gyms and spas do the same thing. Avoid all contracts like this. Here is my complaint in a nutshell:
I signed on with Interactions Dating Service in Lathrup Village right after Thanksgiving. They said they'd send me a welcome package and introduction letter in 10 days and match in up to 14. Well it took nearly a month. When they did match me, they set me up with someone who doesn't even meet my criteria. It gets better. Not only did they send my info to the wrong address, they spelled my name incorrectly. They have a phantom member services email that they never answer. I've left 4 voice mails over 2.5 weeks and didn't get a call back. I sent in a feedback form of the mis matched guy and they sent me a new intro letter - FOR THE SAME GUY. I am fed up. I paid $795 for their services.
Please spare yourself the time and especially $. Please read the Michigan Attorney General's message. I wish I had done so.
The Attorney General recommends: Say NO to high-pressure sales presentations with "now or never" offers — unless time is truly of the essence (such as an emergency), any legitimate business will allow consumers time to study a complex, expensive contract and reflect on whether to sign it; Read your contract carefully before signing it — including all "fine print" — so you know exactly what you're buying. Some contracts make it easy for the dating service to avoid responsibility but difficult for consumers to get their money back; Beware of aggressive sales tactics — Some location-based dating services with sales offices and experienced salespersons may use aggressive tactics to persuade you to sign up on the spot.in addition to using a "now or never" pitch to pressure you into signing, companies may also drag out the length of your visit, rotate salespersons, and manufacture extreme consequences for any delay on your part. Refuse to sign any contract you can't take home overnight to review;
