Poor Service, Long Hold Times, and they sit on your extra payments for 3 months before sending them to the bank

I have had several issues with this company. Their customer service has been terrible. I've waited on hold in excess of 20 minutes to speak to a service rep. On multiple occassions. They had trouble debting my account on 3 occassions and did not attempt to contact me to say that their was an issue. Since I was watching carefully, I noticed the problem and had to contact them. Their service reps were incompetent and I needed to work with managers to resolve the issues. (The debting issue was not their fault - don't use a savings account or you may have similar issues!) My concern is that they never attempted to communicate with me and my mortgage payment would have been late had I not been diligent. Even after working with their managers, they debted an incorrect amount from my account and I had to call back again to fix that problem. I also noticed that they took an extra payment in October but they wouldn't pay the additional funds out until January. When I questioned this practice they said that they don't really collect the "extra payment" until January so that's when everyone they service will have the extra funds credited to their account. They explained how they collect their payments and why they call the "extra payment" the payment in January not in October, but the reality is that if I paid extra in October, the extra principle should show up in the November statement otherwise they sat on the payment for 3 months! They heatedly argued for 20 minutes with me saying that I simply didn't understand their payment schedule and that my point was not correct. I assured her that after teaching Math for 10 years I was quite adept at using a calendar in spite of what she thought about my comprehension.in speaking to a manager, he said it was an issue about when the funds became available and that's why it took so long to show up. I wish they could get their story straight. My best advise is to not use this company - I'm sorry I did. It would be easier to pay myself because now I have to watch them like a hawk and it's always a problem to fix their problem!
