Terrible customer service-Funds not available for over a week after payment

My bill was due on 11/28 and paid as agreed. Credit One only offers two payment options, an express payment for $9.95 and a standard payment for no extra fee. The only difference between the two is that the credit is available next day for the extra $9.95 as opposed to 7-10 days later for standard. My payment posted and was withdrawn from my bank account on 11/29. I called Credit One in order to get access to my credit that had already been drawn from my bank account and was told in no uncertain terms that "their bank" cannot release the credit before the 7-10 day period is up because it is their policy, even though the funds had been cleared by my bank. I asked to speak to a supervisor whose name was Shannon. I offered to have them call my bank and verify that the funds had posted and was told that since I had not paid my bill by the express method they were not able to call my bank to verify. Even though both methods offer a direct debit from a bank account, since I did not pay them extra they informed me that they cannot call my bank to confirm clearance of the funds. This is very unethical business that they are conducting there, not to mention holding money that I have paid them back for up to 10 days after my payment has cleared because I did not pay them extra money to pay my bill. I cannot see how this type of business practice is allowed.
