The company Mayrand Publishers is a huge scam. I am the office manager of a small fmily owned business (pet store) and am currently the victim of harrassment by Mayrand Publishers.in particular their employee Tony Starks.
About 5 monthes ago I was contacted by a employee of Mayrand Publishers and was told the we had and outstanding invoice for advertising one of the owners and supposidly agreed to. I informed the employee that I was unaware of any agreement to do any advertising with their company and had not recieved an ad-proof or any invoice for any advertising. As the conversation continued I became suspicious about the call and asked to hear the recorded conversation were the owner had agreed to placing and Ad. With Mayrand Publishing. I was told that I would be called back with the recored call. Which I was later on that day. I listened to the call and that is when I realized I was dealing with scam artists. The call was only a recorded conversation between the owner of store and a Mayrand employee that said she was calling to confirm our store address. When our stores owner asked the Mayrand employee for more information as to why he was confirming the address and for more information on the company, the Mayrand employee said that she would have someone else call him back because she had no information. She stated that her departmentment handles address confirmation only. After listing to the recoreded conversation I told the CSR that I was speaking with that this was not a call authorizing any advertising. I was told that the I would be contacted by another employee that could further assist me. I was then contacted by Tony Starks and this is were the blatant harrassment began. I told Mr. Starks that I knew that this was a scam and we refuse to pay for advertising that we did not agree to. So from then on every week Mr. Starks harassess our store and we need help as to how to expose this company, Tony Starks and get them to stop harassing us.
