I signed up on a nannying website so I could pick up some extra babysitting jobs. I was contacted by a family who lives in Malaysia, but they were going to move to St. Louis, MO and needed a sitter. I applied for the job and was accepted. The father, Fred Tanner, told me that he would like to send me money so that I could buy their daughter a Nintendo DS and bring it over when we meet each other. He arranged for his associate in the United States to send me the money. When the envelope arrived, there was more money than he said he would send. He said his associate had messed up and was supposed to send part of the money to me and part of the money to a furniture store in Malaysia that was arranging to have their furniture shipped to the U.S. So he asked me to send that money to the furniture store for him. I deposited the money and sent a Western Union money transfer to him. Later, the check I deposited bounced and I was out the money.
