After numerous complaints against these officers, and numerous cash settlements with the victims, Officer keith Stouch was fired on Dec. 31 for professional incompetence and patterns of brutality. He lawsuit was also dismissed by the United States Third Circuit Court on Nov. 24, Third Circuit Court Docket# 09-3264.

Officer Phillip Rucker, the half brother of the Irvington present Mayor Wayne Smith was reprimanded on 12/08/1998 by Essex County Court Judge Harold Fullilove, for being a potential juror in the criminal case of Max D. Antoine, which was fully dismissed by the same above judge.

Officer Alfredo Aleman, known as the K-9 Dog, was demoted for his history of dog bites on the suspects and for patterns of brutality and poor trainings. This man has a serious history of forcing his k-9 dogs to bite numerous suspects while in custody and n hand cuffs dated from 1995 to 2006. The Irvington police was sued repeatedly by numerous civil rights attorneys, most of these cases were settled out of court, just to keep the victims from talking. Police director Steven Palamara was also demoted on Marcch 28 and subsequently fired for internal corruptions and professional incompetence within the police force. More than 55,600 civilian complaints have been filed and logged against the Irvington police, data given by the New jersey Attorney General s Office, on police trainings.

Mayor Sara Bost was then convicted in Federal Court on April 4 for corruptions including bribes and witness temparing under court rule 60 (b).
