I called taxmasters after seeing their t/v ad on television, i spoke with a mr youngblood a young sounding salesman, we discussed my tax situation, and what could taxmasters do for me, we spoke for 10-15 minutes, i made ref. To bbb houston, he never answered me directly saying the main thing was get between me and the irs. As a matter of getting things set up he asked, and i gave him my credit card no. I think he said this made it easier when i called in that they had all info. Available. He said a contract would be forwarded for my signiture and power of atty; when i got off the telephone i called the bbb houston tx, the bbb gave them a very poor rating (f) i than called tax masters back and told them i didn't want to talk with them because of their poor bbb rating. I also called four others offering the same kind of service and 3 out of 4 got the same f rating. I thought everything was over and done with until i opened my monthly visa bill and saw a 690.00 charge, i called tax masters after a ring around they said i would have to send a letter requesting my money back. I waited ten days and called them, they said the had no record of receiving my letter. I told this person that i had a return signiture card from the uspo that taxmasters had signed for it. She told me to wait within 2 minutes she said she had found it, and that my claim was denied, no formal reason, without my signiture without anything except my credit.By stalling me this gave them the opportunity to bill me an additional690.00, i calledmy credit card co and they put a hold on this charge with documentation from me via fax. Sirs we are in our latter 70. S and live on ss and a small pension check 500,00 we need all of this just to stay afloat. Medications and dr co-pays are making us go without a lot of things we need, anything you can do to right this situation would be grealty appreciated. I really believe this is a scam towards elders. We have all documents needed to back this up. Thank you
