Ive been trying to sell my timeshare for the longest time now. Theres been so many companies out there that have tried selling it and I've been scammed by so many I've lost all faith.
One day i recieved a call from a man from a company called International Marketing Group. The man who called me informed that he had done the unthinkable and sold my Wyndham Timeshare points and that I would be recieving about $150,000 for the sale he just needed money for closing. Reluctantly, before doing any research I gave them my Visa Credit Card and they charged my $9,828 to cover closing on the property and I would recieve my cashiers check for $150,000, plus the $9,828 back within 30-45 days.
The man I spoke to told me don't mention anything about a buyer during the taped verification because it was illegal to have one before hand, and he did this on his own, so to get my sale don't mention anything.
I went through this audio tape verification and of course on the tape they said nothing about a buyer, it was all about marketing. Before i even signed the agreement, my visa was already charged the amount. They sent me out a contract and not without suprise, the contract stated nothing of selling my points, it was just the standard bulls*t timeshare scam marketing contract.
They did the unthinkable again, and called me stating they have someone that wants to rent immediately and to put them they'll need another $2,838 to cover guest passes and registration, I told them i need to get back to them. And it turns out, THEY CHARGED VISA AGAIN WITHOUT MY AUTHORIZATION!
Turns out IMG is not licensed in the state of florida to be a commercial telephone seller (Call The Department Of Agriculutre and Consumer Services), they don't have florida state statue 501.615 in there agreement which states you have 7 days to cancel the agreement therefore the contract is null and void, and also this company is not registered with the BBB or with sunbiz.org.
IMG is a complete scam and anything they try and tell you hang up the phone because there just liars and will take you for large amounts of money! I charged back and recieved my #12,000 back but beware of them.
