Joel A. Wood Offered me a job at $20 an hour

I was contacted by email by Frank Cornorthy about a job interview, he claimed he got my job from my resume posted on Massreps.com. He gave me a date and time. I was curious and signed on the messenger for the interview. For some reason the interview didn't take place on the date and time requested but the next time i signed on to the internet here was this guy Joel A. Wood who proceded with the interview. It seemed legit and at the end he offered me a job at $20 an hour as a merchandiser. After this he told me I had to purchase software for $200 and send the money immediately via Western Union to a person in Woodstock GA. I looked up the software and I could download it for free at download.com and after the evaulation purchase it. I told him that but he insisted on me doing the western union transfer. I am copy and pasting the job interview. If this stops one person from sending this jerk money it will have been worth my time!!!

Joel Wood: This is Merchandser open position johnnypoet101: I have merchandised for about 2 years. I worked for Mosaic Sales Solution for 1 1/2 years Joel Wood: Okay. Joel Wood: are ready for the brief interview? Johnnypoet101: I am Joel Wood: Ok let get started Joel Wood: What is your name and where are you located? Johnnypoet101: I am Johnny Nesbitt and I live in Nashville TN area code 37214 Joel Wood: Ok Joel Wood: Tell me about yourself johnnypoet101: I have lived in Nashville for about 1 year. Until then I lived in North Mississippi. Once my son grew up and started college I moved to Nashville to explore my own life. I have a degree in computer programming and am 1 semester short of my Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education but will not be completing that for a while because I have to recover some funds to continue. Joel Wood: Why do you want this job? Johnnypoet101: As I said i have worked as a merchandiser for another company and I enjoy the variety offered by doing this kind of work. It is nice to not have to go and do the same job day after day and it is also nice to have some flexibility in the work schedule. I currently own a record company and a music magazine in the Memphis Tn area and the merchandising will work well with my goals for those two projects. Joel Wood: Do you know that this is a strictly a work from home job? Johnnypoet101: What does that mean? Joel Wood: You will be working from home johnnypoet101: On my other merchandising jobs I work from home and go to the stores to reset product set up POP or johnnypoet101: POS and the product needed to complete the projects is sent to my home or to the store and I install them on location. Is this position similar? Joel Wood: this is are the duties involoved Joel Wood: 1) maximising the space and layout of the store 2) Track the status of all merchandise through shipping, receiving, and distribution 3) preparing for promotional events and dismantling displays at the end of promotional periods 4) giving feedback to head office and liaising closely with merchandisers and buyers johnnypoet101: Yes that is what I have done in the past. And i do know it is a work at home and normally an independent contractor type of arrangement. Joel Wood: Ok Joel Wood: can we proceed? Johnnypoet101: yes Joel Wood: what would you do if someone stole from the job? Johnnypoet101: Report it to a supervisor or store manager. It would depend on what the proper procedure was and i would follow that procedure. Joel Wood: Ok Joel Wood: What is your favorite and least favorite thing about working on a team? Johnnypoet101: Favorite part of working on a team is the different ideas you can get and the individual experiences each team member brings to the table. Least favorite is that there are always those on a team that don't want to pull their fair share of work. Joel Wood: Describe a time when you were not the designated leader on a team but you stepped up and became one johnnypoet101: When i was working on my degree in computer programming we had a team project that involved a certain business scenario and were appointed a team leader. Our team leader was not assigning tasks and making himself clear to the team. After a while i started helping him makes plans for the meeting and helping him decide who would be best at which parts of the program process. Eventually he stepped aside and let me lead the team but I did it in a manner that would disrupt the project and allow it to continue smoothly and get completed without interruption Joel Wood: When was the last time you had to meet a deadline? Johnnypoet101: Life is full of deadlines the last time I had to meet a deadline was in Sept. For a my magazine I was working on. It had to be to the publisher in less than 3 days and there were still 10 pages incomplete. I sat down mapped out a plan of attack to meet the deadline, communicated what had to be done to my team of graphic designers and editors and completed the project in 2 days instead of 3 and had it to the publisher in plenty of time to meet the deadline Joel Wood: Tell me about a time that you gave false information johnnypoet101: I try to tell the truth and do not give false information. If for some reason i can't make a deadline I do not lie but tell the truth to prevent any complications. I feel that by telling the truth you might get input from other sources that might help expedite the process or help you better understand the problem thus avoiding telling lies. Joel Wood: Your Goals For The Next Five Years johnnypoet101: To grow my merchandising experience and build my record label and music magazine to a national level versus a local level. Joel Wood: How much do you expect to earn per hour johnnypoet101: I am open to salary and expect to be paid fairly according to what the industry pays. As a team member in a non leadership role I feel that 10-12 dollars per hour is fair Joel Wood: Congratulations!!!
