This expensive motor home with apparent manufacturing and design flaws has a 1 year warranty. The problems as a result of these flaws that are indigenous to this product do not become apparent until after warranty expiration. The consumer is not provided a reasonable warranty given the complexity and cost of this product.
A vehicle costing over $70,000 with less then 5000 miles on the odometer and after only 2 years of minimal usage should not have mechanical and structural failures of this severity.
There are apparent engineering and design flaws stemming from both the selection of materials to the workmanship and construction of this product as illustrated by the failures starting at 6 months after purchase and avalanching in severity at this 2 year period. For example, the selection of particle board as the material for countertops and cabinets, that both the dealership and Four Winds (the manufacturer) Customer Service and Warranty Departments forcibly stated, make them susceptible to extremes in weather and humidity is far from the best choice of material for a vehicle supposedly designed for outdoor recreation and certainly contributed to the separating and warping of these interior structures.
Mechanical Failure:
Pop out room mechanism is failing in the rear section and possible in the front section
Materials Failure:
Particleboard construction of countertops and cabinets have little resistance to temperature and humidity extremes yet was utilized in the construction of a vehicle specifically marketed for outdoors recreation.
System Failure:
Shower plumbing apparently never functioned since first attempt to use was in May.
Structural Failure:
Water impingement due to leaks from either failure of roof or failure of an outside structural attachment to the body (awning, etc.)
Neither this dealership nor this manufacturer will offer constructive suggestions or solutions that are fair the me, the consumer.
