I received a parking violation in oct when i was no longer the owner of the vehicle since feb. Evidentally, the guy who i sold the vehicle to had never registered the car under his name until i had gotten in contact with him... Sooner i contact the ticket bureau company and told them the problem and they had told me once i send in a proof that the vehicle was sold on such day that they will dismiss the charges... Well i sent in proof... Next thing you know they kept sending me the same violation stating that i have to pay for the ticket... I then contacted them via phone and asked i dont understand why i would have to pay if i wasnt the owner then and even sent in proof that i sold the vehicle 6 months ago... They got back to me and said ok well i still had to pay for it because my proof of non ownership wasnt strong enough that i was still the owner at the time the ticket was issued then... Which doesnt make any sense.
So then a year passes by and i kept getting the same ticket over and over and i ignored it til it finally had said "interecept notice - tax refund for delinquent parking citations" at this pt i was pretty upset so i contact them again... And the guy insisted that i had to pay for it because i didnt send in the proof within the 5 days they had given me. But i had told him. On the notice until today that i receieve it says "objections to this action must be made 30 days frim the date listed to this notice" and notice date of 10/19/09 and the csr told me that its too late. I object to it once already and i cant do it again... Now im really pissed off. I asked to speak to a supervisor but there were no supervisor available and that they would contact me withing 24-48 hours... This is unbelievable and ridiculously lame!!! Still i am not going to pay for this ticket even if it takes me to go to court with them. Not paying for something i do not own when ticket was cited. They are trying to do everything they can to try and get money from you. Just ignore it and dont pay it
