All of the information that you have read by the other posters here are true and I'm sure there are so many more stories that will never be told.
AHT is one of the reasons why I am no longer working in the insurance business and were one of several companies who all seem to practise the same lies and deceptions that I've come to find are so prevelent in this business.
Like a previous poster, I was also in a full-time job with benefits etc. And was lured by the promise of making signifiant $. I spoke w/Eric by phone several times to set up and interview in my AREA. After failing to meet with me several times I finally had to drive over two hours one way to meet with him in Birmingham AL.
The interview was a joke and it should have been enough for me to realize what I was getting into. I basically sat there and had him do all the talking and going on about how much $ I was going to make and that I was a sharp guy in comparison to those that apparently came before me. I was also very direct regarding my current position and pay and benefits and that I wanted to make sure this was all legitimate.
I went to TN for training that was somewhat of a joke as well. As soon as I got home, they gave me some papers and told me I'd have to start cold calling door to door to get info. That was easy enough. I had all the info ready for when ERIC would be back to train me. One month later, I was still waiting. He kept putting me off and telling me he'd be back in town soon. Which didn't happen. Or I'd be called at 5pm and told I needed to drive all the way across town at the last minute to meet for 1 hour for on the spot training. The leads I got were nothing more than D and B lists of people who had opened new business. He wanted me to go visit these people but more than 75% where listed at their home address. Against my better judgment I did that and got hell from EVERYONE I tired to speak to for having the $%#@ to visit them at their home.
I tried calling Eric again but kept getting told that I needed to do more cold calling etc. Etc. After over 2 months of waiting for the personal one on one training that I was supposed to get, I eventually gave up. No one ever called me either. What a joke of a marketing organization. They really don't care.
