Myself and a friend of mine are new to the area. We both saw a non-descriptive ad on Craigslist offering immediate positions available with training provided. We both called and came into the office to interview. We were both hired and were asked to start training this week. We were told we would be assembling and maintaining new equipment from the makers of Kirby, and that salary would be $2,000 a month.
Yesterday I searched for the company name and for a website. Unfortunately, there is no website, only more info from usacomplaints.com and the BBB about the fraudulent nature of this company. Today, I called to ask more questions on the position, and after being put on hold, being told that she was busy after every single one of my questions, the receptionist finally admitted that it was a position to assemble the "floor buffers and things of that nature" for the door to door sales reps.
We were not told about the door-to-door position during the interview, only that we would be maintaining these new products. This type of position is not what anyone was expecting, and the receptionist, who I nice enough not to disclose the name of, continued to get more and more upset with each questions, eventually saying that I would have to come in and interview with her to find out more. They are looking to get your information, SSN, and work history, not to hire you for a real position. Apparently, they don't even pay you the monthly salary unless you meet their quota.
When you enter the doors of the building, it is small, with a cubical and then a door behind that. Much too small to be a growing business looking to hire at least 20 new people per class. One class starts today, the other on Friday. The company is supposed to operate Tues-Sat, but training goes through the weekend, which I find odd. I do not suggest this company to anyone, and will be returning only to get my application back and will then have to report to the credit companies my concerns to make sure they do not use my SSN in a fraudulent manner.
