B.S. Company trying to rip off my company. Will I let it happen? Not if my lawyer has anything to say about it. Ripoff fraud business

This company is a joke! I received a call from a man claiming that he had a request for a subscription cancellation. My boss had been out of town so I tried figuring it all out for him. I'm not always aware of purchases made by him so I assumed it had been something he had in the past before i was empolyed by his company.
This Infomatika rep asked of my company's name and billing address and also my name. Thinking that this subscription was a past purchase of my boss', I did give them all the information.

I asked him exactly what this subscription was. He claimed that my boss had a business listing with them thru the years 2003 and he was only calling to send a bill for the cancelation. I asked why a company would bill for past services rather than billing right when services were issued. He claimed that that was just the way they chose to do their business.
He informed me that a rep from another department would be contacting me within a few minutes to verify a proper billing address and invoice amount. I agreed that that was just fine. (Mind you, I am not fully aware of my boss' past purchases for I have only worked for him for 1 year.)

I did receive a call from a women verifying the billing address, account closure and amount.
A few days later I received the invoice in the mail for $349.95. I brought it to the owner's attention in which he had absolutely no idea who this company was nor what services they provided for him in the past.
I tried calling Infomatika all that afternoon only to hear recording after recording of their employees whom were too busy to answer. I left a message for them to contact me for I was instructed to find proof of service. Noone ever did.

Again, I tried calling Infomatika a few days later to find proof of service. I listened to all 6 or 7 numbered choices thru their directory, Accounts Receivable - Accounts Payable - Customer Services - Sales and Marketing, etc. I tried all of them but one which was the very last one in which I actually got through. I spoke to a lady who ironically sounded exactly like the recorded voice directing me through their system. (AND if you punch in extension numbers they all call to diferent names who also ask for you to leave a message (cause they are so busy) but all are spoken in the same voice as this woman.)
She was annoyed that I had directed myself to her extension just so I could actually be transfered to a live person. I told her that I was looking for proof of her company's service and that I would be more than happy to pay if in fact my company had requested service in the past.

She directed me to woman in which I explained my situation. She had no proof of past services for her system showed that the listing was NOT a past listing nor an account closure but was definitely a new account and for future listing for the years 2005. I told her I did not order this listing, that I was not authorized to make those purchases. She had the impression that I was calling because I had not yet received the directory and said it would be to me within 30 days of the invoice. Again, I explained that I did not want the directory and NOT to send it. She said that she would research my invoice and try to find proof of services.
I called again looking for deletion of this invoice, noone answered so I left a message for them to contact me or my lawyer would be contacting them shortly.
I had received more than 5 calls througout the past 2 months from Infomatika looking for payment. Every time I explain my situation, they agreed to investigate and call me back. Noone ever does.

I received a letter from UPS saying that they had a package for me from Champlain, NY that was addressed to my old address. My company has since relocated so I am somewhat at an advantage. I will not contact them to mail this directory to me. I refuse to accept it.
This sent me over the edge. After months of calling again and again I figured I was not going to get anywhere unless I was insistent and rude. I called and was put through to more recordings. I went through the entire list of extensions until I was finally put through. I demanded of the rep to put me through to her manager, she transfered me to collections. I asked to be out through to customer services, she sent me to Accounts Receivables. Again, I asked to be put throught to CS and in part actually was. I immediately demanded to speak to a supervisor.

I spoke to a man about this problem and all that he could say was that he would call me back within a few days with the recorded conversations I had with the very first rep. I told him that was very irrelevant for I had seen proof of meddling with tapes (by these same testimonials). He claimed that it was very much against the law to meddle with tape recordings. Isn't it against the law to scam someone out of their money?

I refuse to pay this company a single penny until they can actually get me proof of services. My hardworking lawyer shall be paid before these lazy, dishonest, out-to-make-a-quick-buck-while-screwing-everyone-in-their-midst slimeballs ever do. I guess I'll just have to wait and see what I "said" in this recording and go from there.
