In my mail today, I received an invelope with a check in the amount of $4,988.00.in disbelieve I read the accompaning letter. Which states that my name had been drawn in the annual Consumer's Promotional Draw, organized for both American and Canadian customers of the following major retailers, Target, Wal-Mart, etc.
The letter continues to advise me that I am entitled to the preliminary prize of $250,000.00 payable by means of a certified check delivered by Money Gram/Western Union. Mind you that the check looks very real, the letter looks a bit like a zerox copy of the company letterhead.
Continuing with the letter which states that you must pay a non-Canadian residential tax and fees for delivery of the $250,000.00, therefore the enclosed $4,988.00 is to cover those frees.
Out of curiosity, I called first the number of the Claim Agent, who is suppose to be the contact person for my winnings.
