The Purity company advertized over the media that you could get three bottles of Omega fish oil for trial purpose and all you had to do was to pay the shipping and handeling for $6.95 which I paid. They said that it was granteed to make you feel better. So I thought it would be worth the try. When I received the vitamins I realized that I had some Omega fish oil vitamins that I had bought from CVS at a much cheaper price. I called the Purity Company on August 6 th and told them that I was no longer interest in their product because I had some Omega fish oil at a much cheaper price. The lady tolld me to try it and call back in Oct. That I wasn't due for another shipment until Oct and she would give me a discount of I thought I heard $24.95. I thought I would try it so I opened a bottle. Today I received a bill for $99.99 for something that I was led to believe to be free. I wasn't even given three months to try it before I was billed for it. Am I responsible for paying for these pills or sending them back since they were advertized to try for free and all I had to pay was $6.95.? When I contacted the Copany, I talked to a man. I apologize for not getting his name. He claim that this didn't mean that they were free. My question is how can you try something for three months without taking it? I stated it was advertized as only $6.95 for shipping and handling which I paid. It is my opinion that this is false advertizement and unfair to the consummer. I am a senior citizen and it is too often that seniors are taken the advantage of. I would appreciate your advice in this matter. Thank you in advance.
