TSA And Huntleigh USA
Retentive Bonus promised by TSA and Huntleigh USA in May has never been paid to former airport security screeners St. Louis, MO And Washington D.C. District of Columbia/Missouri

In May of all airpot security screeners who stayed on their jobs until the Transportation Security Administration assumed airport security were promised a bonus for staying.

From Huntleigh USA briefing "TSA Retention Bonus If you are working on the last day, or up until your last scheduled workday in the event your day off is the transition date, (sic. 9-23 for our airport) you will receive a bonus check funded by the TSA. Once the transition is complete HUSA and TSA will review the year to date billings for the location to determine the bonus dollars, the TSA will fund HUSA the bonus dollars and HUSA will then issue the bonus checks. The estimated bonus payment date is 4-6weeks from transition date."

To date, only 1 airport has distributed bonus checks, somewhere one the West Coast, I believe. I think that took a lawsuit, as the Security firms were alledgedly intending to distribute the bonus to their CEO's etc.,

According to their "telephone recording updates" Huntleigh has over 7,000 screeners who deserve the bonus.in February, the sending of the bonus checks was "within 30 days."

We still have not received it. Neither agency tells us what is going on and if they do give out something, it is not followed through on, nor can it be checked through another source.

From http://wdr. Doleta. Gov/directives/attach/TEN4-02_AttachIV.html

"RETENTION BONUS
TSA provided the current airport security contractors with special funds which they are authorized to provide to current screeners who stay until the end of the contract as RETENTION BONUSES. The purpose of this money is to keep workers on the job until the end of the contract, even if they find out early on that they don't qualify under the preliminary online or telephone assessment process, or conclude on their own that they do not meet the TSA hiring criteria (i.E., U.S. Citizenship) or may not be able to pass an assessment or background check."
