After numerous complaints to management and human resources, and having ALL my concerns denied or swept under the rug by former employer (Hydro Klean). I filed complaints with E.E.O. C, o.S.H.A. And Iowa Workforce only to have them beleive the employers fabricated coverups. And I dont beleive they even looked at ALL the documents or they "LOST" themthat I presented. I gave rebuttals to the BOGUS write ups and they were NEVER PUT IN my employee file, despite their company policy That says employee can do so.
I reported what I honestly beleived were safety violations to the proper people at H.K. And Instead of investigating my concerns they denied me even telling them about my concerns (Which is why I went to outside agencys). I done what their own employee manual says I could do, and what happens they fabricated writeups and promptly would suspend me, I got suspended for taking vacations (despite approval of my supevisor) and on another occasion when myself and another employee were almost KILLED on job (around Nov. 5th 2008) I got written up again and suspended again. I was NEVER contacted by any company reps. At H.K. After the anhydrous ammonia leak to check on my well being, and have since found out that the valve that failed should have been replaced 10 years ago. Owner of company (ANDY M.) passed out company letter telling employees how and WHO TO VOTE FOR for in elections (I have copy). And finally on 2-19 I filed another complaint with owners of company (Andy & Becky M.) I have original copy of letter for cutting my work hours and retaliation for complaining about discrimination and retaliation. They (Hydro Klean) promptly retaliated again by terminating me 5 days later for what "they say I did (SUPERVISORS INITIALS)" I didnt and they know it. Which to me is just another one of their fabrications.
The majority of employees is under age of 20-30 years old and in my opinion they like it that way because they either dont know their workplace rights OR are to SCARED TO SAY ANYTHING BECAUSE THE EMPLOYER WILL TERMINATE THEM.in my opinion Hydro Klean's Human Resources is NOT for the employee It is there to protect the company, they will deny you tell them anything and then write you up for it. I'M told it is NOT SLANDER OR LIBEL if you have documents to prove what I say (and I do) and they are not fabricted falsly. I am sure I have not remembered things but I am going through all my documents and will add more as it refreshes my memory. It is my opinion if you are over 40 years old to STAY AWAY from Hydro Klean BECAUSE they dont like people who know their rights and stand up to their bullying tactics, unless you know upper management personally or are related to any of them like a few in management are.
