I (like an idiot) ordered a book from a company that used UMG for it's marketing. They offered me all kinds of services which I declined.
They were very insistent that I purchase their products, and again I flatly said no. He (their operator) seemed angry with me that I only wanted the books.
Later, I found charges for $19.95 on my bank statement. This is the second time. This time it put me in the negative. I called the company and raised cain.
I informed them that I was recording this call "as I did the original call" and that if they did not rescind the charges and cease all activity I would deliver the statements from my bank and my Digital Recordings to not only the local District Attorney, but the local office of the FBI!
Suddenly, it would only take 3 to 5 business days to get my money back.interesting. I'm still going to go to the DA and the FBI. This is probably some sort of interstate credit fraud.
I also notified the radio station of the shenanigans of their advertiser.
