I am a seventeen year old homeschooled girl who owns a small goat herd. I have worked very hard over the past few years to save up my money so I could make my dream of owning a gaited horse come true.
We found a cremello Tennessee Walking Horse mare owned by a woman named Beckey Ball. The mare's registered name is Marks Moon Rythmn, and they call her Moonlite. She is six years old and 14.3 hands. Beckey stated a deposit would be good, so I drove 45 minutes into town and wired the requested $500 to her for a fee of $36. We had a verbal agreement that she would refund my money if the mare didn't pass her vet check.
Well, the vet found the mare lame on her right hind leg after a flexion test, among other issues (most minor). When we informed Beckey, she blew up, and called the exam "F*king Bullsh*t". She then told us she had spent my deposit, but would pay me back after she got paid on the 22nd. It is now the 23rd, and after numerous attempts to contact Beckey, we have not heard anything from her, let alone when to expect the return of my money.
