On Thursday July 16 at approximantly 2:30pm I received a phone call from a wireless number 1-714-333-2981. The caller identified himself as being from a Law Firm named 'Law Firm of Crime Monitoring Center' located in Campbell, California. He spoke with an Asian accent and was almost impossible to understand.
He claimed that I owe a pay-day loan company National Advance Pay-Day I have never heard of this company before. The fact that a wireless caller stating to represent a Law Firm kinda set up a red flag in my mind. I told him I do not recall ever applying for a loan and that he would have to show me some proff, he went on saying that he would show it in court after they come arrest me and hall me to jail. I then hung up and he called me back and kept harrasing me about sending him money.
I wrote down all the information, and told him I was going to investigate their company and that I wanted the phone number of the company (National Payday Loan). Mr. Jack Brown so he called himself said that he was going to put me on hold and transfer me to the company. After about 2 minutes someone comes to the phone and behold it was Jack Browns voice claiming that he was from National payday Loan. "Jack you didn't even have the brains to change your voice" I thought. So he went on to threaten to have an individual come to my house to be escorted to court the following day at 11:00am. I hung up and he called back and ask me if I wanted to get out of this and not go to court, so I asked how, and he said well I be forced to pay over $5,000.00 if I didn't make an immediate payment of $750. He also stated that he wanted me to write him a letter to authorize this payment in the form of cedit card or debit card to debit my account and fax it immediately to 310-881-6971. I never got a loan from this company and never applied to this company for a loan.
