My husband was looking for a lawyer to help him get his license back when he ran across Mr. Bo Schimers. He went to see him a decided to use him for his case.
He DID sign a contract with Mr. Schimers and gave him a deposit for 600.00. A week after this took place I lost my job. Being located in Michigan and the economy being the way it is, we called and asked for our deposit back. Mr. Schimers said that the deposit was non refundable per the contract. My husband explained our situation to Mr. Schimers and he AGREED to return half of the deposit to us ASAP.
A few weeks past... No check in the mail. My husband calls Bo and gets a reply of "I am filing for bancruptcy and your a crediter... I can't pay you back. You'll be put in the bankcruptcy." What? After many discussions with this "Lawyer" and getting the run around I have got no where. He can't even give me the name of HIS lawyer... Hum?
If you need a lawyer in Downriver... Bo DOESN'T know best...
Best part. My name is on the check not my husbands. He isn't on the account at all. So, I am not under contract with Mr. Schimers. Any lawyers out there know if I have any recourse with this? Only my name is on the account and I wasn't there to sign any contract.
