Ripoff deceptive company

I took used books in to sell. I had older books, magazines, and books I had only read once. There were eight boxes in all. They offered me fifty cents total for all of the books. It was my understanding that they paid forty percent of what they could sell the books for. I know several books were worth at least one dollar each.

I feel angry because I took the time to email first and ask what there policy was for buying used books and magazines. I feel the clerks were just too lazy to go through the boxes.
