We were assured by MGR thta they were breaking the stereotype timeshare ownership has created. Since this is my firs, and last, timeshare, I only know anecdotally about how bad other timeshare experiences have been.
MGR offered many time at many resorts in Las Vegas and Palm Desert during a subsidized trip we took to Las Vegas. We told them, "no thanks, we are really not interested in those destinations". They asked us where we liked to travel and we discussed a variety of places. They assured us that they would have plenty of accommodations at those places as well.
My wife and I have paid thousands of dollars into Monarch and, despite having to spend more than 12 hours in total trying to make a reservation, have not succeeded in finding a single day anywhere we wanted to stay.
I feel like the victim of a classic bait and switch and would like any advice on pursuing this matter legally.
