Ramada Plaza Resorts
A Bogus Vaction Orlando/Ft. Lauderdale Florida

In the middle of a cold New England winter I got an unsolicited call from Ramada Plaza Resorts. The sharpie on the phone painted a wonderful picture of a balmy cruise and visit to the Magic Kingdom. All at an affordable price. The only thing I had to do was pay this bargain price and sit through a "one hour" presentation of their time sharing resort.

Without doing any research I signed up. Again, I prove my mother was always right when you used to say to me "Timmy, you may not be good looking, but you sure are stupid! And stupid indeed I was. That one hour presentation took the entire morning. Not only was it a complete waste of my time but the gang of four they attacked me with were rude and insulting. Their conduct was so high pressured that I would not buy a hot dog from them, much less a time share.

The cruise was my first one so I have nothing to compare it with. However, the food was good, the cabin clean and adequate and Nassau at Castle Beach was delightful. So I have no complaints on that aspect of their fraudulent representations.

Now, the Magic Kingdom - what can be said about that. We all know what it is about and Ramada has nothing to do with that aspect. But Ramada is culpable in the four night accommodation they provided in their bogus vacation. They made it sound like I would be staying at a resort. Wrong! I was booked at the Ramada Maingate West on 7491 West Irlo Bronson Highway, Kissimmee, Fl.
By far, this was the worse flea trap I have ever visited. The woman in front of me when I was checking in was complaining to the desk clerk about the bugs in her bed. And the clerk was agreeing. When I entered the room, the smell was terrible. The room totally depressing. I would not dare sleep on the sheets, etc. So despite the fact that I had already paid these four nights, I immediately checked out and found a much better accommodate which of course I had to pay for. However, I much rather have lost to money to Ramada's Flea Motel than to have stayed there.

So, there you have it gang. You can much better book a three day cruise to Nassau on your own and stay at a decent motel and not a flea bag. And of course, you can visit the Kingdom without any involvement with Ramada. I'm sure it would cost you any more doing this on your own. Furthermore, you wouldn't have to waste you time with men try to sell you a time share, almost at the point of a gun.
