I was totally taken by this terrible scan as everyone else. I too was fooled into thinking a program costing $1.95 would make me rich, if not rich, just make some extra money. I have been unemployed for over 9 months and have yet to find a job. My unemployment will run out in a month and a half. That is what I have been living on, so I was desperate. I was charged $1.95 for the CD. What I did not know is that when I did order the CD that I would be charged another $72.21 a few days later! I finally got through to the company and she said when I went into the website and set up an account that I was consenting to a $72.21 monthly charge for just setting up the account, which I have never heard of. It was all in the fine print. She told me that this company is not affiliated with google, and it's just a name, like mine.
I'm sure google would just love that! When I spoke to a representative at the company and she was very rude. I cannot send back the CD because it does not have a complete address, and the website they provided cannot be found. I told her I wanted to speak to the supervisor and she said there is no one else to talk to, so it wouldn't do me any good. I did raise my voice a little at that and she said she was going to disconnect the call. So I hung up. Now I have to go to my bank and report this as a fraudulent activity, but there is no guarantee that this is going to be removed from my account, because I did consent to the $1.95.
I only hope that action will be taken against these people for this to me is an actual crime, and they are preying on people who really need the money.
