At the start of my employment with this company I never felt like there was any job security, they were there for me as long as I was willing to run illegally for them. I resigned and gave a 2 weeks notice only to have my last 2 weeks checks taken. They said it was for a loan that was never paid off but never gave me a check stub nor a seperation letter.
After 2 years of driving for another company I was begged by Jay Ellington to return that he had so much work he wouldn't be able to handle it, I quit the other company and went back to ellington farms once there I was put on loads that no one else wanted to haul, sent to pick up loads that were not ready for more than 6 hours and told that they had to me more than 3000 miles away by 8A.M. The following morning, once the load was delivered, I would recieve a cal telling me to return to Ga. Or to wait for a back haul which was rare. When the loads became slack then the owners decided to give them too select drivers. Not having loads for weeks at a time, Finally when they called with a load I was unable to pick it up because of a family emergency, that was cool with one brother then the other brother got on the phone and told me he wanted his $%^# truck right then or he would be by my home to pick it up the next morning, which he did.
After I filed for unemployment for the first time in my life I was told by his current employees that he stated that if he had anything too do with it I would never collect a dime. Well lets just say that they told every lie they could to include that i had quit so that they didnt have to pay-up. I once again was cheated out of my pay and never recieved a seperation letter. This has not only happened too me but other employee's who have lost their jobs to these greedy and ungratefull employers. Their DOT Violations (Driving more than 11 hrs per day) have not been cought yet but im sure that someone will figure this thing out. Check the logs against the toll reciepts against the bills = a lieing trucking co.
I was not the smartest cookie in the jar for returning to this company for the secound time but wanted to be able to provide for my family and wanted to do the rite thing if i in fact did owe them monies from a prior loan, but the ride I was taken for in the end is one that I wouldnt wish on anyone and warn the current drivers as well as anyone who wishes too do business with them in the future. (consider yourself warned)
