The alternator requires a minimum of 800-1200 rpm to begin generating; unlikely except in severe winds. The alternator requires a load to generate, and this is unlikely when connected to an inverter plugged into a grid already providing service. Concerning the solar panels, they do not clearly explain how the cells are soldered together. The video only shows how to make a frame for the cells, does not specify requirements for protection from hail.
