Dont buy a dodge journey they are junk
On 3/24 I bought a 2009 dodge journey thinking that i was getting a new car with no problems. Boy was i wrong. The first month i had it i had to take it in for repairs and almost every month after till the current date in which it is in the shop again 05/08.
It has had the following problems; The brake boost was bad and i almost wrecked took it in they supposedly fixed it drove it and had to take it back cause i almost wrecked cause i could not stop (they have had to fix it 2 times now), The alarm system is faulty whe you try to unlock it using the key pad the alarm goes off, but if you use the key the alarm also goes off (they have replaced mine 2 times now), the power steering pump was replaced once then again cause there was a recall on it. The window express up has been replaced 2 times. The winshield wipers wouldnt work when it was raining, the lock on the drivers side door would not lock or unlock the doors, the shims on the back gate had a recall on them, the mirror cover on the visor flew off when i would open it, the flotation thin that tells you your brake fluid is low also broke and then was replaced again cause there was a recall on it (has been fixed 2 time) and last but im sure not the last is the seal on my transfer case was broken and leaked water into it so they are replacing the whole transfer case.
Now get this the lemon law is that the same problem has to hapen 3 times the first year and be unfixable or that the car has to be in the shop and out of commission for 30 days the first year. My car has been in the shop for 16 problems 5 of them have been repaired 2 times but of course not three so it doesnt fall into the lemon law than it would have fallen into the lemon law for the being out of commission for 30 days but the current problem where they will have it for a week is outside the year limit by 1 month and 12 days so i am stuck with this pile of junk that is unsafe for my kids.
Then to top it of they give me a rental that doesnt fit my 3 kids so my son has to go unbuckled tell me that cant be against the law.
