I won't repeat what you have already read in the other posts, except to say, it's all true. Years ago, they were sued by the Attorney General of Florida, which slowed them down a bit. But the money to be made is so good and easy, they can't or won't stop.
If you put their address into Google Maps, then Street View, you see a high-end condo. Or apt. Complex. Google also shows a bunch of other business at the same address or complex, so, there's a lot going on there.
I think that this whole scam can be run by 2 people. They could pull in millions a month. There's no real work involved. Enhanced services billing inc. (Also a scam) collects the money from local phone companies, probably takes a cut and sends it on.
They count on people not looking closely at their phone bill. If you have a complicated bill, it could go on for months. If you call and demand a refund, they will do it (but not very fast) Get ready for a few standard excuses: "Someone by (your name) must have signed up" "Somebody must have used your telephone number" "Someone must have transposed 2 digits of their phone number"... Never: "We are running a scam"
Google the A.G. Of Florida, or probably any other state, and type in the name under, "Consumer Fraud". Or "Scams" and you should come up with the latest info.
