Tech Support says 2 year modem not supported anymore. New modem is worse than old one

I have a 2 year old modem that came w/my $600 sat. System. My speeds kept getting slower by the week. Called Tech. Support in India I guess. They told me my modem is no longer being supported and I must upgrade to a newer one.

I am transfered to sales. I must buy it for $125 & reup for 2 more years besides the pro plan fee of $70 a month. I tell them to forget it. A week later I get a card in the mail for no cost & reup for 1 year. I took the bait, not wanting to lose my $600 I had invested in equip. BIG mistake on my part. The new HN7000S Modem is as slow or slower than the old one.

After 3 weeks and the numerous case numbers given to me which is a total joke. I am still trying to talk to the level 4 techs that had me do 3 speed tests (5 per session) a day. Then this wasn't enough, so I was told to do them in "safe mode" which meant restarting the computer ever test session.

Now after all this I am being told they will call me back. Still waaaiting! My business hour speeds averaged 30kbs download (no joke!) & 120kbs uploads. They are 788kbs download after 3am till about 7am. So its not my computer.

I asked them to let me send this modem back. They tell me I will owe them $400 early termination fee for this crap that doesn't work. This company is scamming people by promising broadband speeds (3to7am) so they claim they aren't lying. These people need the pants sued for this scam. If anyone out there is up for a class action suit count me in!
