My son is 11 1/2 years old. He has severe autism. He is nonverbal. This school year 2009 my son was only allowed to attend on tuesdays from 2pm to 4pm and thursdays from 2pm to 4pm only 3 weeks a month because the last week of every month was Boces pink week. So my son only attended school 12 hours a month total! I also did not receive transportion nor riembursement for that transportation under Part B.
I discovered the principle was the one who did not want my son in her school. The director of Boces and the principle of Fishers Peak had a secret meeting about my son. I have no idea what was said. When I discovered that president Obama is giving Colorado 7 billion dollars for special education funds and title one well I was very upset. I contacted the superintendant of Trinidad schools just to be told that its not his concern nor problem. I need to discuss this with boces and the principle of Fishers Peak.
On April 14, my temper got the best of me. I had a verbal altercation with the school counselor and principle of fishers peak elementary. They called the police and 3 cop cars came! Luckily I left before then. They called my cell phone wishing for me to go down to the station to make a report. I refused and said politely not without a lawyer. I am not sure what will come of this if I get a summons or not. I did say two cuss words and hit someone with my shoulder!
School year 2008. I enrolled my son october 3rd 2007 at Fishers Peak Elementary school. They asked why I am not leaving him there and I said call me when you are ready for him due to his autism. AFter reading the school records from pueblo west school district 70, the counselor of Fishers Peak called the sheriff department to check up on my son. They wanted to make sure I did not kill him, tie him up, that he has a bed and why is he truant. I met with there officer. I said they are not ready for him and he said yes they are right now!
So my son started his first day of school 8:00am. At 9:20am the same day I got a frantic phone call my son is crazy please please come and get him. I did and he was fine. So he got kicked out on his first day. A emergency IEP meeting and my son was going to school only 3 hours a week under the boces office! That lasted three weeks until the special education teacher said he tried to rape her by pushing on her boob thus a manifestation meeting. The director of boces would not listen to our story. So last year my son only received 3 weeks of school and that was it!
School year 2007. I lived in Pueblo WEst Colorado. I enrolled my son in the autism pilot program. His first day of school was september 9th. Two weeks after there october 1st funding, I got a visit from Child protective services sexual abuse allegations. Greg Keisling and TAnya Brown was so upset that social services did not assign me a case worker nor take my children away they started making up other excuses of abuse including how my child has mean temper tantrums.
Greg Keisling refused to let my son out of TAnja Browns autism pilot program. I called the Legal Center in Denver just go get a huge blow off. I was told that Colorado law states professionals need to protect the children by reporting all suspected child abuse cases. I said cant you understand they cant handle my son so this was just a diversion. The Legal Center in Denver Refused to help me.
I contacted the Center For Disabilities in Pueblo and they did send a advocate to go to all my meetings. I tried to get my son in school district 60 Highland park elementary but Greg Keisling told them many negative things about me. I tried to get him in Morton Elementary district 60 but I guess STefanie Garcia Pueblo Arc had not enough pull for that one. I ended up paying 100% out of pocket for my son to attend Soaring EAgles Center for autism a total cost of $7800.00
School year 2006 I enrolled my son at Fishers Peak Elementary school in Trinidad Colorado. They were also stripping him naked turning me in for every kind of bruise they can think of. The local social services child protection unit was tired of my name. A teacher who refused to forge her signature that my son was in her classroom a certain amount of time to look good for inclusion was fired! NO school work was being done they just was having my son who loves to clean follow the janitor around all day.
School year 2005 1st grade eckhart elementary Trinidad Colorado. My son was only allowed to attend 1 1/2 a day until after Christmas then they let him go all day to my surprise.
School year 2004 Eckhart elementary school wanted my son to go 1 1/2 a day when I had a Raton New Mexico IEP that said all day and other children here locally went all day. I filed a report with Colorado Department of Education. Charles Masner who dismisses most due process cases here told me quote" Colorado Does NOt have to adopt a out of state IEP. What the school says goes. We are not responsible for children until age 7-16 "unquote. Charles Masner is the hearing officer for CDE at that time.
School year 2003 preschool. My son was denied preschool because we made too much money. I talked with Colorado Department of education Ann Pierce. Ann PIerce told me quote" Colorado is a Highly Republican state and we believe in local control. Have a problem take it up locally" unquote. So I had to fake residency pull a recreational vehicle over the border to Raton New Mexico so my nonverbal son with autism could go to school.
Colorado school personal refuse to take medical documents from out of state Doctors! They forge documents for more money and to pretend inclusion. Colorado Department of Education refuses to get involved and ignores most problems.
