Stanley Harris
El-sirrah Construction Co. I was scammed, lied to, led on for 4 years. He took $40,000 from us

In June we invested in what we thought was going to be a newly built community in the city of Opelika, Al, by a man named Stanley Harris, who was the contractor and owner of the project. We loaned him $40,000 with a promissory note of our return and it was to be returned within 60 days.

Over the course of 2 1/2 years, he continued to lie to us and tell us that the purchase of the land was still on target to close. We asked for our money back, and kept being told that it is closing, please be patient. I finally got an attorney and all I wanted at this point was just my money back. It got very hard for my attorney because when we did find Stanley Harris's attorney in Norcross, Ga, he was willing to work out a payment plan with us. Then it got to the point where his attorney (James Rambeau) would not return my attorneys calls. There was nothing my attorney could do. We were trying to work with an attorney in Ga, and I reside in Ohio. My attorney could not file charges in ohio when the deal was going on in another state. So, my next step, was to find an attorney in the state of Ga. Again, the same runaround. His lawyer wouldn't return calls to my attorney. We hit a total deadend. Also, Stanley Harris had moved, we didn't know his address, he changed his cell phone number every couple months. He is good at doing disappearing acts. My friend (who also invested with him) and I hired a private detective to find him His report was that there were 2 old vehicles in Stanleys name. Stanley was divorced and apparently everything was in him ex-wifes name. (Him and her probably working together in it). However, he had moved again. He had numerous addresses over the course of a few years, but all of them within 50 miles of each other.

Anyway, our 2nd attorney could no longer help us and he suggested I call our local police and get a report written up. I did that, and the cops would NOT write a report because it was considered a contract since I had a promissory note. They suggested I call the FBI which could help me with interstate regulations. I called the FBI, spoke with an agent there on numerous occasions, and I was told that $40,000 was not worth their time. It had to be over 1 million dollars. WHAT!!! Now what? That brings me here, because I don't know which way to turn, and don't know who can help me. But, I need help. If you can or know of anyone who can, please feel free to contact me.
