Repair and replace work done unsatisfactory, poor customer service. Promised to come, no show, and not phone calls returned

On March 4, two employees of American Fence showed up to replace an existing fence, and to install a dog pen for my dogs.

The first thing I mentioned, was for them to save some of the old fence so that I could use it to replace some fence on my neighbors side so the dogs couldn't get through. The young man who seemed to be in charge, smashed all the fence. Then they started to put the fence up according to the ground, and not by a line so that the fence would be straight.

My daughter confronted them, then then eyed the line, putti8ng up the rest of the fence. The original fence was straight, and on the ground. The new fence is about 6-8 inches off the ground. I have 3 minature dogs, who could go under the fence, no problem. This means an expense to me to purchase soil to fill in the space.

The second problem is with the chain link fence, which was built especially for the 3 small dogs and 2 large dogs. The pole to the fence, and the pole to the gate are to far apart. The little dogs can squeeze right through it. The latch on the gate is so far from the pole on the fence, that the big dogs can lift it with their noses, and open the gate.

The 3rd thing. My daughter pointed out to one of the employees where no to dig for a post, because we had just had irrigation installed. When the owner of the irragation company arrived 2 days latter, and tried to use the water he had to dig to find out way, and noticed
a hole and cement was cut into his line.

The 4th thing, was two gates installed. The gates are not lined up evenly. One part of the4 gate is highter then the other. The latches on the gates are not installed properly, so the latch doesn't ketch, and the gates swing open. The gates are also place so high. That the large dogs can crawl underneath them.

The main purpose for all of this was so that my dogs could have their own pen to run in. As it is, they have to be tied up in the front yard, ruining the grass, and barking. They also are releaving themselves in the house, because they can't go out when we are out for a few minutes. The 5th things I noticed, was that I could see into the yard from the side of the fnece. I mentioned this to the man in charged. He said he forgot to put thr caps on. He threw on a piece of wood, and put in 3 nails. The wood in not flush with the post.

They did not put gravel in the ground when they put in the post, so the post are not stable after a rain fall. The day that they finished the job, I noticed the problems, and called right away. I spoke to Betsy, who said they would be here on a Tues at 4:30. Nno Show.
I called the next day, and was told someone would be here. Again no show.

I talked to Andrea, told her the problem, and told her I wanted someone who knew what they were doing to come out and look and fix the problems. She said the foreman would come. No show. I called 3 days in arow, got an excuse why no one came, but she never called me. I told her I wanted a definite time and day when they were coming, because I stayed home waiting for someone to show. I sent 2 e-mails to Karen West, no answers.

I paid $3,180 for fencing I cannot use for my animals.
Also, the wood they used was unfinished Cedar, that is full of splinters, not finished. I would appreciate any recouse you can provide me for this shoddy job that anyone off the street could have done.

Sincerely
