Working with Zen Van Line was truely a nightmare. We moved from Atlanta GA to Los Angeles CA. This company worked with a local broker named Erine McNab who looks knowledgable and professional. The way they got people's business was to provide a lower price estimate and also promised you it is a "Guaranteed Not to exceed estimate". The pick up date was schedualed on February 23rd 1:00~3:00pm but the movers didn't show up until 9:00pm. It was 6 hours late.
The delivery window was set up for March2nd ~9th. However, after they got all my stuff I received a call from Zen Van Line few days later. They told me the actual weight of my stuff was more than double times heavier than the original estimation so they need to charge $4000 more (The original quote was $2100). Me and my husband were so mad and regret to use this blood-sucker. This company was such a scum. They hostage people's stuff and then threaten with more money.
We know our stuff didn't weight that much. This company just lied and made up excuses in order to ask for more money. We kept bargaining the price with CEO, Paul Bedi and end up paid $4200 on delivery day March 25th that is 3 weeks delay. The purpose I file this report is to warn other innocent and honest people who intend to move. Please! Hire a bigger and reputable moving company. There are many bad guys out there. They set traps and wait for you to jump in.
