Are trying to collect on a "debt" with a company I never had service with

I received a "settlement offer" from AFNI Collections for $355.04 and was told I could save $1,065.11 if I "settled." The alleged debt is from Verizon Northwest for a phone number that I have NEVER had.

I have NEVER had phone service of ANY kind with Verizon Northwest, so how could I "owe" them $355.04, or the original amount of $1,420.15? This makes NO sense what so ever, and is an obvious attempt at a scam.

My wife called this company and they hung up on her.
