My credit card was recently charged $29.99 by a company called My Fitness, UT. This charge was on January 21st. I did not visit their website, order anything from them, nor even know what type of product they sell. I have reported this "My Fitness" to our bank, have disputed the charge, and have cancelled the account. The bank said that the charge is unauthorized and they will dispute the charge.
However, the number listed on my credit card charge is 800-232-6273 and is for a company called Health Markets. The people at this number said that they did not have access to any accounts or charges by "My Fitness." Every number given to me to resolve the situation or talk with customer service had the same response. Some of the customer service numbers given to me were: 800-733-2242,800-527-5504,800-733-1110, and 800-725-7887. Not one person knew anything about a company called "My Fitness" or why I had been charged.
This is frustrating and kind of scary! To top it off, the only reason I noticed the fraudulent charge was that I received some Caralluma Extreme weight loss pills from a company in Mesquite, Nevada called "Lose Weight Systems." I did not order the pills, have never ordered any weight loss products, but was charged $35.50 on March 6th. After calling the company, they said someone had ordered the pills using my bank card online. They apologized, have refunded the money and stopped all monthly charges for the pills. The refund showed up on my account today.
I am wondering if these two companies are somehow linked?
