I heard about Results Weight Loss Center from some family friends and thought I would make an appointment just to check it out. My intentions were not to sign up right then, but to check out what their plans were, and how much it cost. I met with an older lady, whom was very nice. She asked about my history, why I wanted to lose the weight, how active I was, etc. Up front I told her I was hypoglycemic. I had ups and downs, I would shake if I got really hungry, etc. She said no problem, I would have a plan that did not include the snack bars. After hearing her speech and getting through the questions, we talked about pricing. Mind you, I came in with the intention of just finding out information. She told me I'd have to sign a contract for a period of time, and said will that be cash, check or credit. This pissed me off, I was offended that she automatically thought I was going to sign up and give her money. I told her that I wasn't sure if I was going to sign up, that's a lot of money and I need to talk it over with my family. She was like, oh, ok, well I need to talk to my manager, I've never had anyone not sign up, wow, this is a first. I was soo mad, she made a fool of me. I told the manager that I was interested in signing up, but that I WILL NOT work with that lady. The manager said I could do a payment plan, and put me with another lady. I ended up signing up.
At first things were going fine. The cost to sign up does not include the weekly items you need to buy. This cost me about an additional $40/week.
During one of the protein & veggies stages I was never told to eat an orange to help regulate me. I ended up severely constipated, almost ended up in ER.
One day I went in for my weekly consult. Apparently my normal lady was out, and who else do they put me with, the orignal lady who was pushy pushy. I gave her my meal logs and she asked me why I wasn't eating my bars. I'm not talking in a nice, sweet voice. It was harsh and condescending (althought this didn't surprise me due to our first run in). I told her, "well if you look in my chart, i'm hypoglycemic and I was told not to."
This happened to me 2 times. Once by the pushy lady, and once by my new one. When I was asked why I wasn't eating them, I was fuming inside. If these ladies would just review my charts, they would see that it says, NO BARS. Is it that hard to just look? What if I had a serious condition, or problem. This scares me. After all the money I invested, you'd think they would be more on top of issues like this.
Needless to say, I stayed 4 weeks. After all the things they WEREN'T doing, the initial pushy lady, forgetting to tell me to have a fruit, the extra money every week, not reading a little note saying not to eat the protein bars, I was fed up. I quit. I would not recommend Results Weight Loss Center in Fort Myers.
They have good intentions with the supplements and diet program, but their staff really stinks. I was very unhappy.
