We were back on our mortgage due to financial difficulties that we were having. My husband hours were cut. We called Aurora to see what they could do to help us bring the arrears current. They put us on a payment plan and we succesfully completed it. They sent us a letter congratulating us that we had maintained our current home retention payment arrangement and they would like to offer us a more permanent workout option
In order to do so they will needed our most recent updated financial information.
We followed everything to the letter and each time they would come back and say they did not receive the information. We refaxed information for almost 6 times.
Each time we would recieve a recieved a letter from Aurora stating they had denied us the modification due to insufficient income. We were short of 700, then 500 then 300. I told her thats why we were asking for remodification to help us. They were very rudee representive. All the wanted was to short sell your home.
After going back and forth the offer us the same interest rate of 9.25 that is killing us and said the only thing they could do was put the arrear at the back of the loan. They are taking government money and refusing to help homeowner. One of the manager told me that they don't have to do what the government says. I read all these report but nothing is being done. All affected need to write the attorney general's office in their state and report Aurora. Let's do something and stop these preditors. They are vampire and drinking of the blood of struggling homeowners who only desire is to have a lower payment inorder to stay in their homes.
