Does not honor their rebate offers

In November, we purchased a washer and dryer from Sears. The incentive to purchase from Sears instead of going to another vendor was their rebate for free delivery. Unfortunatly, I believed them. We had to pay for delivery up front, but Sears was supposed to refund us with the delivery charge, which they never did. I did everything that I was supposed to do on my end, and I still did not receive any rebate from Sears. I got blown off repeatedly by Sears. I feel like all I've been doing is jumping through endless hoops to get this money that I believe I am entitled to.

When I call the rebate center, I'm either told to call the store, or I'm on hold, and told, by a voice message to call back during non-peak hours. When I call during non-peak hours, the rebate center is closed. When I call the store, they tell me to call the rebate center. No one gets back to me either by phone or by e-mail, or I get a cock and bull story.

I must have made at least 29 phone calls to the rebate center and the store, I must have spoken to well over 100 people who could not help me, and I sent at least 10 e-mails, only to be told: a) let me take your name and phone number, I'll look into this and I'll call you back (I never heard from them again); b) let me transfer you to yet another person, (this becomes the merry-go-round game that Sears likes to play where they repeatedly transfer you over and over and over, so you can get to repeat your complaint over and over and over. You can play this game with Sears indefinitely until you decide to get off this merry-go-round, and c) can you hold? (then you're on hold until you decide you've wasted enough time on hold and finally hang up because you have other things to do in your life besides stay on hold until the phone call finally disconnects).

I purposely called the Sears rebate center today to see how long I can possibly be placed on hold before anybody picks up. I've been on hold now for two hours. This is completely unacceptable. I feel that this rebate offer is a fraudulent scam put out by Sears to reel in unsuspecting suckers. Never again will I be fooled by these fraudulent rebate offers.
