This company is predatory in their practice of assessing overdraft fees for ALL ITEMS processed and will pay items to put your account in overdraft status -
when questioned about this practice they state that it is a "customer courtesy" to pay items that put your account in overdraft status.
Apparently this is a "customer courtesy" i have been unaware of - to put your account in overdraft status then charge 35.00 per item that is either paid or pending - if pushed the customer service representative will then tell you that you need to take your ID to a branch and validate your identity before any one can help you over the phone - if you are unable to get to a branch with your picture ID then you can forget any assistance over the phone because your account has a notation on it that someone is impersonating you and it is for your own protection. WHAT IS WRONG WITH THESE PEOPLE??!!
Wachovia will take your money in the name of customer courtesy then inconvience you in any way they can if you question them or try to get the money back!
