What a horrible company do not use them

I signed up with this company on may of 08. Almost immediately had system issues. Even thought they told me all the equipment they use is Honeywell. The Wireless remote would not reach the shut off control box even when it was only a few feet away. Thus, I had numerious false alarms with the city of indianapolis.By the time I got in the house to discover the alarm was not in fact off the police were already on the way. After numerious complaints and never getting called back by Shelly Like the customer service manager, I finally got a service tech out who stated that the receiver was faulty and he replaced it.

Then approx two months later the Panic alarm stated to trigger on its own even when the alarm was not on. This resulted in emergency response from the Indianapolis PD. I was fined two times before Myers sent someone out to look at it. Again Shelly Like refused to take my calls for help and I was even told at one point she was busy going over papers and could not talk to me.
When the tech did arrive he brought out the wrong replacement key pad. NOTE: the second time they brought out the wrong replacement pad for repairs. The repair tech was clueless on how or what was going on. He even told me at one point my house must be haunted because he could not find any reason that the alarm would trigger on its own.

Two days later the sensor goes off (no one home again) I called and had to fight over the phone to speak to Shelly Like as I was told she was busy AGAIN. When I told them I would not hang up and would wait for her then she finally talked with me. She sent a tech out the next morning. This tech was great. He replaced the entire system, Keypad, and motion sensor. This wonderfull fix worked for less than a day. When I was home that same evening the alarm again started beeping on its own stating it had numerious faults and issues and would not stop beeping. I called the Myers alarm and they stated that the back up was down and thats why it was faulty. The tech called me back at 1100pm and asked me to walk out to my detached garage when its 10 below and see if the doors are open. I had already done this by the way.

He finally signed on line to the system and did a reboot and My alarm was finally ready to work at midnight. What service. Keep in mind this was the brand new system. The next afternoon the alarm again went off on its own. I at this point have stopped using myers alarm system.

Shelly like stated that she would work with me and the city on taking care of the alarm fines. Keep in mind I had already paid two fines and the third was on the way. When I called again to myers to talk with shelly I was told she was busy and to fax the fines over. Note that the fines say you have 5 days to pay or they increase. So as a good citized I paid the remaining one fine. I did this as Myers record of taking care of things and getting back with me was horrific. Then I get this letter from Shelly Likes telling me that she never agreed to pay me back for the fines and that I was lining the caughers of the greedy city. Whats up with that. She credited my alarm billing account. WOW way to go since I dont want your alarm system in my home anymore.

I called and asked them to cancel my alarm service. Again, Shelly was Busy and would not talk with me. The employee that I spoke to said Shelly would call me back that day. Well suprise. She didnt and I have to call them back 5 days later to finally talk to her. And again had to argue the entire time to get to talk with her.

I was told that they were sending me a letter with the response to my request to cancel the service. I asked her why she could not tell me what it was about. Shelly finally told me that they would not cancel the contract to monitor my home Even though they clearly have not provided any monitoring service that was relaible and part of the contract. She stated they would want thier equipment back. Thats fine and great but I paid over 500.00 in equipment when they installed it. So what was I paying for if the equiment is really Myers. SO, they refuse to release the contract, still want to bill me monthly for horrable service and they want the equipment back that I paid for or at least paid for part of it.

This is a horrid company to do business with. I have filed a complaint with the BBB in indianapolis at this point as well and may consider legal action. All this due to a company that has no idea what customer service is. Even with all the issues with the equipment I may have stayed with the company if it was not for the customer service that Shelly provided and for the letter that she sent me. It was uneducated, unprovoked, unprofessional and made me sound as if i was trying to pay the city police department from Myers own pockets.

Please do not use this company. They came recomended to me but i would never recomend them to anyone and have been completely dumbfounded with how they are able to stay in business with such horrid service and equipment.
