I am ashamed to admitt, but I am a former employee of ATB. I keep reading all these complaints about being fooled into a membership because they didn't want to pay non-member fees. THOSE AREN'T EVEN REAL!!! We "threaten" you with an $88-135 "enrollment" fee. Never has anyone been charged an enrollment fee. That is just to make people want to sign up. Our manual is 400 pages of how to basically fool you into buying a 24 months package. We weren't allowed to even say 2 years... We had to say 24 months because it sounds better. There are pages and pages on counterclaims for every possible situation where a client doesn't want to do what you want them to too. They offer to give you your first month free so you'll be more willing to sign up... It's always free! The "first month" they charge you, they put into the computer as lotion sales to make their sales #'s look better for the day. Their lotions are marked up 50% of what they are bought for. You can buy Cypher online for $49... ATB charged $110!
ATB employees are trained to be used car salesmen. It's ridiculous. And the second you stop selling 24 month packages, they fire you. I was fired because I was pregnant and was no longer able to maintain a tan appearance. They want you to look fake and baked all the time, it's pathetic. We can only hope that tanning goes out of style cause Brian (the owner) will become one poor mofo with a bunch of empty stores!
